FAQ
Why is the brand called ‘Don’t stay naked’?
Don’t stay naked doesn’t just mean ‘Buy yourself something nice’. It also means ‘Don’t go home without some real insider knowledge’.
On our tours, you’ll discover unique shops and the neighbourhoods where Hamburg’s residents live. We’ll share stories from the local areas, show you places off the beaten track, and give you tips for day trips that even the locals don’t know about.
So you’ll head home not only with a new favourite item, but also with surprising insights into Hamburg’s trendy neighbourhoods, its people, and its little-known secrets.
How long does a tour last?
A tour lasts around 2–3 hours. In some cases, the tour may take longer. Please therefore wear comfortable shoes.
How much do the tours cost?
Prices start from 20 euros per person. You can find more details on the individual tour pages and on GetYourGuide.
Are the tours solely about shopping?
No. Shopping is just part of it. Our tours combine exploring the city, stories about Hamburg’s neighbourhoods, meeting the people behind the shops, and genuine insider insights. You’ll discover places you’d never find on your own – and gain background knowledge, anecdotes and local tips. Shopping is just the backdrop; the experience is so much more.
How can I book a tour?
How many people can take part in a tour?
Up to 8 people can take part in a tour. Larger groups for stag or hen parties, birthdays or Christmas parties are welcome – please enquire here.
Is the tour also suitable for older people?
It depends on how fit the person is. The tour lasts around two hours, without any breaks to sit down.
However, the tour takes in a wide variety of shops, so there’s something for every age and taste.
Can I bring a dog?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the tours. We move through the neighbourhood as a group and pop into various shops along the way. This would often be stressful for the animal, and it could also cause disruption to the group. We therefore ask for your understanding that dogs cannot be brought along.
What happens if the weather is bad in Hamburg? Will the tour still go ahead?
We’re not made of sugar here in Hamburg, so the tours go ahead in (almost) all weathers. As Hamburg is close to the sea, it can sometimes rain or be stormy. Please make sure you dress appropriately for the season and the weather. Comfortable shoes are absolutely essential, so that you can enjoy the tour to the full.
Are meals provided during the tour?
No, we don’t provide any food or drink during our tour. However, on each tour we’ll show you plenty of restaurants, bars and cafés that you can visit afterwards. You’re welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks to enjoy during the tour.
Is it allowed to take photos or film during the tour?
You are welcome to take photos and film during the tour, as we will be in public places. However, please be considerate of the other people in the group and ensure they do not appear in your photos or videos.
Afterwards, you are welcome to share your photos and videos on social media and tag us if you like.
What rules apply during a tour?
We’ll mainly be walking through residential areas, so please be respectful and keep the area clean.
Also, keep an eye on your valuables, as Hamburg is a big city and we don’t want anything to go missing during the tour.
